How long does the guided fishing trip last?

Fishing with a guide usually is 6 hours long, but there is a possibility to make it longer for an additional payment.

What do you need from me to go fishing with you?

It is necessary to purchase “makskeresanas karte” (we can help with that), clothing according to the weather forecast and an awesome mood.

Do I need previous experience to go guided angling?

No – that is not a pre-requisite. We can teach the basics of fishing and have a time well spent on the water even if you have no previous fishing experience.

If there is a storm, bad weather or heavy rain, will the fishing trip be cancelled?

Usually 1 or 2 days before the planned date we are evaluating the weather forecast and contact you to agree if we can move forward with the guided fishing trip and whether it will be comfortable to be on the water. If forecast shows that there will be heavy rain or a storm, we suggest that we agree on a different date to get the best experience that fishing with a guide can provide.

Do I need to have my own equipment to go fishing with a guide? For example fishing rod, reel, lures, etc.?

Not necessarily, if you want to fish with your own equipment – we support that. In case you don’t have your own, or you want to use ours – we are providing everything that is necessary.

Can I go guided fishing with my children?

Sure, you can bring your kids, friends, grandparents or parents. We are also going fishing together with our families and kids. Nevertheless, when fishing with a guide, every person requires attention and the pricing is according to the amount of people in the boat, not dependent on age of the angler.

What are the best fishing places in Latvia?

Riga and near waters are one of the best in Latvia. Best lakes for pike fishing are Kisezers and lake Juglas. Daugava and Lielupe are best for perch and zander fishing. Depending on the season – lake Usma, lake Aluksne, lake Burtnieka and Venta river are great places with great catches.
